O'Reilly's Rainforest Retreat in Queenslands Lamington National Park is something else, it's like something out of Jurassic Park. Ancient rainforests, towering cliffs and endless waterfalls just waiting to be explored. Located only a 1.5hr drive from the Gold Coast and a 2hr drive south of Brisbane, in the World Heritage listed Lamington National Park, it is the starting point to explore over 500 world-class waterfalls accessible via 160-kilometres of nature trails.
Noosa is one of my favourite places in Queensland. Maybe because it reminds me a little bit of home. Beautiful beaches, sunsets over the bay and mountains, good surf, beautiful headlands and bushwalks, marine life and wildlife galore, some of the yummiest cafes and restaurants and of course lots of holiday accommodation for all budgets.
Japan has been on my list of countries to visit for a long time. I lived and worked in the snow for 7 snow seasons, one in NZ and the rest in Australia, so Japan was always somewhere that was talked about among snowboarders as one of the best places to visit. Not just for the incredible snow, but for the food, the culture and the natural beauty. I’d always planned to do a snow season in Japan, but life got in the way.
